Custom Controls are programs designed to quantitatively control the performance of each analytical system and batch of reagent in use. These controls are standardized according to the laboratory’s analytical system with reading values between 1.5 and 4.5 times the value of the assay cut-off point (cut off) for non-competitive kits, readings between 0.6 and 0.9 for competitive kits and, for titer results, a titer greater than 1/16 is considered.
