Take your laboratory to the next level
with an accreditation standard recognized internationally by ISQua
The International Clinical Laboratories Accreditation Program (ICLAP) is an innovative initiative that establishes a streamlined, yet robust and effective accreditation standard for clinical laboratories.
As a program developed based on international best practices in Laboratory Medicine and utilizing objective performance indicators, ICLAP addresses all critical aspects of laboratory quality. It incorporates the technical requirements of ISO 15189 and the patient safety standards established by ISQua, a globally recognized leader in healthcare.
These standards are formally articulated in the Clinical Laboratories Excellence Standards (CLES).
Why obtain ICLAP accreditation?
ICLAP accreditation demonstrates to the market that your management system and laboratory practices comply with the highest international standards of quality, safety, and excellence. It emphasizes the provision of services that prioritize patient safety and the continuous improvement of processes. This accreditation is available to all clinical laboratories, regardless of their size.
If you already possess another form of recognition, ICLAP accreditation serves to highlight your distinctive qualities. Conversely, if you have yet to obtain any recognition, it acts as an ideal starting point to prepare your laboratory for future accreditations and to elevate your quality standards.
ICLAP offers recognition at two levels for the CLES Standard (Gold and Silver), encouraging continuous improvement and allowing the laboratory to progress towards achieving excellence.
The external assessment of accreditation is a process:
Voluntary
Confidential
